May is Dennis Hopper Memorial Month!

May is Dennis Hopper Memorial Month, because the loss of Dennis Hopper on an airing day forced me to create the Rainbow Bridge security.

As I feared, the "
Street Fighter is so bad, it killed Raul Julia"
hate trend eventually did mock Dennis for his passing - indeed further justifying the security. The same hate trend supporter, sorry, assassin who mocked Dennis also posted a certain Nostalgia Critic video elsewhere to attack me, and (surprise, surprise {!}) he and one of his goons attacked me when I confronted him for it;
and has even called me one or two hate crime names.


As if in a sign from Heaven, I had my kitty Jasmine on the Dennis Hopper anniversary! Yoshimoto (who was Raul's successor) required the Rainbow Bridge security himself, but only for his initial sickness (there were no airings, at the time when he lost his battle a couple of months after we surrendered him)... and in his place, we welcomed beautiful Jasmine into the family. Jasmine, in turn, has affected certain airing traditions, including and especially for Santa Claude... and even one or two rules for if, say, I need tooth surgery.


As well as the Dennis anniversary, and May 4, 5 and 6 being a celebration for Star Wars fans (as well as May 4 being the anniversary of, much to my delight, the first step toward just why airings mean so much to us as they do today)... the one major date this month is May 24, because I have an airing!

And of course, because of the 'exceptional circumstances' of Dennis's passing... yes, I felt I ought to become a proud Koopa supporter, in addition to protecting dear Dennis. And this was I think a few months before Lemmy joined!


I am actually stuck for choice on either the names 'Raul' or 'Dennis', for the protagonist on the game Act Raiser - I can't decide what name to pick, if I ever get that game again LOL

and move on - but how can anyone be so cruel, even to the point of mocking those lost to us on airing days?? How about we remind them of the 'backfire' against Street Fighter X Tekken, and see how they like it??

My family supports and carries out the Rainbow Bridge security as needed, especially after we had to carry it out for Grandpa Ken back in 2016 - I did, indeed, have a few airings during the last few months of his life, including the airing celebration during which we lost him. Again, we are relieved that no he didn't die on an airing day - we lost him on the day before an airing day, little over an hour before I had to start the respective final countdown. Could Raul Julia and Dennis Hopper have pleaded my case, and negotiated a Heavenly compromise for him...?

And I saw Green Ninja's 'May the Force day' post - May the 4th be with you, too

I went into my local town today, and yes the point of it being May the 4th did not go unnoticed - one guy was dressed as Boba Fett, and he actually took interest in my airing attire;
and there was another guy dressed as Chewie, he did the growl to quite a few people (including me, on the few occasions we ran into each other), and I saw him order a burger and a drink at one store.


From Gin's reply, I'm guessing you're sworn to the Dark Side? Then your days would be, I'm guessing, May 5 (Revenge of the 5th) and May 6 (Revenge of the 6th)?

My dad dropped by today, to sort out the antivirus subscription for my laptop... and he had a cuddle with Jasmine, and he reminisced about when he and mom went to look at her and so chose her for me. Awwww!

There was a very rude lady yesterday, she was walking her big dog when I was on my way to my parents' house... and she refused to keep him under control, when they walked past me. I screamed for her to keep the mutt away from me - but all she said was "
Stop screaming, it'll make him worse..."
, she did fuck-all to keep the mutt under control! (and I doubt she's had his balls chopped off, either...)

Luckily, another gentleman who was walking his own dog (and cleaning up after it) witnessed this from nearby... and he knows the woman is very rude, he's had problems with her as well. As luck would have it, he added that one man in a nearby street is an ex-cop - and the woman happens to be known to the cops, so he was more than happy to report her for me!


Dog-related offenses can land one in serious trouble, so yes one should never even think to threaten someone with "
I hope you get bitten by a dog!"
