Four hours later, Mike wakes up. 11:27 PM. The groggy feeling waves over him like a blanket. He hated falling asleep early and waking up not knowing what day it was. He walks over towards a door, leading to a garage. A car sits there. An early 2000s model BMW. He knew it wouldn't run just yet, he would need to work on it. He walks back and out the front door, and into the inner city. He sees a grimy reality. Izuna had been plagued with petty crime. Gouken knew this, but always brought Mike there to remind him where he came from, where his roots were deeply planted. He was a boy taken from a gritty city, to Japanese countryside. He walks into a store, and approaches the counter. No use hiding it from Gouken now, he thought to himself.
Cashier: What'll it be, buddy?
Mike: Let me get a pack of Newport 100s.
Cashier: You look old enough. That'll be $9.46.
Mike hands him a $10 bill and walks outside. He hears a commotion coming from an alley. His curiousity gets the best of him. He sees a man and his friends harassing a young lady, probably around 19 years old.
Mike: Hey! Leave her alone!
Girl: Help me, please! Get help!
Man: SHUT UP! You give me my money, and you, hero-boy! Get the hell out of here and I might leave your brains inside your skull!
Mike: Let her go.
Man: Jackie, get him!
The man's friend approaches Mike and with no technique, swings his right fist at Mike. He dodges it and palm strikes the man in his face. The other man's friend comes forward, but his thrown to a pile of trash bags. He lands on his back and groans.
Man: Scotty!? Fuck it, I'll handle this punk myself!
Another wild punch, another counter.
Mike: Shoryuken!!
The man is lifted off his feet and several feet back to the ground. The young girl looks at Mike and runs towards him in tears, wrapping her arms around his neck in gratitude.
Girl: I was so scared! Thank you! Thank you!
She runs away as Mike looks on.
Mike: I...saved her...I saved her life. I'm a hero.
The man recovers. He pulls from inside his jacket a Smith &
Wesson semi-automatic pistol and points it at Mike.
Man: Say goodnight, hero!
Mike turns around. He is shot several times in his chest. The man huddles over to him, and shoots Mike in the middle of his forehead. He spits in Mike's lifeless face.
Man: Piece of shit! He knocked out my fucking teeth. Scotty, Jackie, you okay?
The bullet in his head begins to dislodge itself from his forehead. The others in his chest do the same. He gets up.
Man: That cocksucker had it coming, come on let me help you up.
Jackie and Scotty notice Mike getting up.
Jackie: Max! Maaaax! Look!
Max turns around, and had turned white as a ghost.
Max: What the hell are you!?
He fires again at Mike. He's unfazed.
Mike: Grrr...waugh...oooomph...
His skin is turning red. He looks down at his hand and sees his fingernails extending. They become sharp claws. He looks at his would-be murderers with a grimace and yellow eyes.
Jackie: Oh my god...
Scotty: Hail Mary...full of grace, the Lord is with thee...
Max: SHUT UP!
Max fired once more, to no avail. Mike's body his growing. His flesh expands to twisted muscle and bone.
Max: The fuck you waiting for? Shoot him!
Max turned around to see his friends running away. He turns around to see a large demon face staring into his eyes. He's left in shock, speechless. The monster roars at him, and its fangs surround his head. It chomps down, decapitating Max. His jagged body ripped at the sternum. The monster chews and spits the remains into a dumpster. It roars. It looks down at it's transformed body...
Mike: Whaa...what the hell happened to me!? This is insane! I must be dreaming...this can't be real...
The demon side of him regains control. It leaps up the buildings and jumps to the rooftop of the apartment building nearby. A woman on a nearby rooftop, tending to her mini-garden sees the creature, and faints. The monster notices her and snorts humorously. It traverses down several city blocks. It notices a burning building, and goes over towards it. Fire trucks are surrounding the inferno, people safely evacuated outside. It lands on the unstable building.
Firefighter: Holy jumping fuckin' Jesus, what the hell is that thing!?
Firefighter 2: Did it start the fire?
Firefighter 3: What's it doing?
Fire Chief: I don't know!
The creature headbutts its way through the roof. It gives a mighty inhale. People on ground level notice the flames moving upward. The creature was sucking up the fire into it's demonic lungs. It rears back and shoots the flames into the night sky. The building was put out, and people are watching in amazement, shock, fear, horror, and confusion. The creature can hear the commotion.
Residents: What is that thing?! It just put out the fire! That's amazing! Look at the claws on that thing! What a monster! He's great, whatever he is! What a miraculous crature! Such a superb beast!
Mike's human side trapped in the monster hears the chatter.
Mike: I hope they're okay now...I can hear them...they're afraid of me...I'm not a monster...but I did hear I think beast...superb beast? A super beast? SuperBeast...has to be one word. Wait, why does that sound familiar?
The monster roars and vanishes into the night. SuperBeast was born, and making it's presence known to the citizens of Izuna. They weren't the only person taking notice.

Bison: Commander!
Commander: Yes, my lord?
Bison: Your cyborg in the northeast is picking up quite the discovery.
Bison displays the cyborg's point of view of SuperBeast's actions of the night. Bison lightly chuckles. The commander looks on with great unease.
Commander: Erm...Lord Bison?
Bison: Commander, begin travel preparations and return to Izuna, New Jersey as soon as possible! I have a feeling this is one fish that we musn't leave swimming around for too long! Also...it's time to pay Cammy a visit...it's time to tie up those loose ends and get that boy Ryu for his power as well.
Commander: Yes, my lord!
The soldier walks out of Bison's quarters.
Bison: With Ryu's power...and this one's...the world will have no choice but to cater to my demands! Shadaloo will create a new world order that will be UNSTOPPABLE!!
Bison's hands glow purple, with pure unadulterated Psycho Power. A smile comes across his face.
